We-ID is the eHerkenning specialist. Until 2019, we provided eHerkenning under the name Connectis, which was founded in 2008. Together with several other market players and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (EZ), we stood at the foundation of eHerkenning. We were among the first recognised suppliers in 2010!
We-ID by Signicat
Since March 2020, we have been part of Signicat, the Norwegian Identity Specialist.
More than 350 organisations use our certified broker to identify more than 14 million users online.
More than 70,000 organisations use our software and eHerkenning tools to securely log in to public and private services. 70 per cent of all transactions within eHerkenning run through Signicat and We-ID’s software and infrastructure.

We-IDentify
The name We-ID consists of ‘We’, which stands for together, and ‘ID’, which stands for identification. An eHerkenningmiddel from We-ID allows employees of organisations to identify themselves online. An eHerkenningmiddel (eRecognition token) is giving serivice providers more certainty that the user logging in is actually the real user of that account.
